Yes. Electrolysis is the method recognized for permanent hair removal. Once a follicle has been treated and destroyed it cannot grow hair again, though it takes a series of sessions to reach every follicle.

Laser or electrolysis: which do I need?

Dark hair on a large area usually means laser. Light, grey or white hair, small areas and brows mean electrolysis. Many clients use both. We will tell you plainly at your consultation.

Does electrolysis hurt?

You feel a brief warm sting at each hair. Most people find it very manageable, and we work at your pace.

How long are appointments?

From about 15 minutes for a touch-up to an hour for larger areas. You pay for the time you book.

How it works

One follicle at a time.

A very fine probe is placed into the hair follicle and a small amount of energy destroys the growth cells at the root. The hair is then removed and that follicle cannot produce hair again. Because it works on the follicle itself rather than the hair’s colour, electrolysis is the right choice for light, fine, grey and white hair, for hormonal facial hair, and for cleaning up hairs that laser left behind.

What to expect
